Global Leadership

UN Principles of Responsible Management Education

The PRME Initiative was created “to inspire and champion responsible management education, research, and thought-leadership globally.” It is the first organized relationship between the United Nations (UN) and business schools, developed with the intention to create an “engagement structure for academic institutions to advance social responsibility through incorporating universal values into curricula and research.” Smith School of Business is proud to be among the first one hundred business schools to commit to the Six PRME Principles and to commit to developing a new generation of business leaders capable of managing the complex challenges faced by today’s society. The Centre for Social Impact holds the responsibility to ensure that PRME Principles are implemented across the school.

Smith School of Business is delighted to announce its selection by the UN Global Compact as a ‘Champion School’ of PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) and as a member of the PRME Advisory Group in 2013-2014.
