David Edmonds
Industry Chair, A100 & Partner, Value Point Capital

David has held senior executive roles in sales, marketing and operations with large International companies including NCR, SHL Systemhouse and ComputerLand/Computer Innovations with responsibility for successfully developing, commercializing, launching and scaling both products and services. He has also been a founding member of six technology companies including Burntsand Inc., which grew to 10 locations across North America at its peak and had over 500 employees with $81M in revenue. During this period, he was involved in acquiring 6 technology companies across North America. Burntsand traded on the TSE and ultimately was acquired by Open Text Corporation. During his career David has raised over $40M to support the growth of the technology firms he was involved with.

Brad Johns
Partner, Yaletown Partners Inc.

Brad Johns is a Partner with Yaletown Partners, a private equity/venture capital firm with over $250M under management. Yaletown invests in emerging-growth technology companies in Canada that enhance productivity and sustainability for industrial and enterprise customers. Brad brings over 30 years of experience in private capital, product management, engineering, manufacturing, and business development, primarily focused on the information technology, telecommunications and energy sectors.

Matt Mastracci
Founder, Escapecode Ventures

Matt is an entrepreneur and former CTO with multiple sweat-equity exits through StumbleUpon (acquired by eBay) and Flipagram (acquired by Toutiao). He is an angel investor who has invested in more than 40 deals, including Careguide, Foodee and Glowforge.

Brenda Slauko, CBV
Regional Director, Technology Industry, BDC

Brenda is the Regional Director of the newly formed Technology Group for BDC, her team provides early-stage debt financing, up to $500k and advisory services to support technology companies in the prairies. She has over 20 years of experience in private equity, subordinated debt and financing and has funded several Management Buy-Outs, mergers and acquisitions, expansions, wealth monetization and growth capital projects.
