When Commerce student Emmanuel Genene looked to find diversity-focused business clubs and events for business students, he couldn't find any. Undeterred, he partnered with students from other leading business schools to create Edge, a student-led organization that aims to foster inclusion and diversity and help students in their academic and professional careers. Edge also helps high school students launch their own business clubs and STEM organizations.

“We want to give them leadership opportunities because it’s necessary to have that when you’re applying to university,” Emmanuel explained. Edge's first major event drew more than 200 students, who were able to meet with recruiters from companies such as RBC, Google and Microsoft.
